Mammography Technician PRN
We are seeking a talented Mammography Technician to join our team at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
You will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. This includes operating mammography equipment, maintaining accurate records, and developing and organizing films for presentation to the radiologist.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in radiologic technology and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with our Imaging Supervisor and other departments to ensure seamless operations and provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Operate mammography equipment and perform technical procedures applying ionizing radiation.
- Maintain accurate records and develop and organize films for presentation to the radiologist.
- Establish and maintain a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow co-workers, other departments, and Medical Staff.
- Work under the supervision of the Imaging Supervisor.
Requirements:
- State Certified as a General Radiographer
- Graduate of an AMA accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Ability to perform all mammographic procedures according to established guidelines utilizing appropriate equipment.
