What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transporter position at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital?

To assist with transporting patients and assist in the flow of patients through the departments. Assist in the movement of medical equipment within the facility and other duties as assigned.
- Ensure mode of transport is appropriate
- Ensure transfers done correctly
- Drape patient comfortably
- Deliver patient chart
- Notify all appropriate personnel of patient leaving nursing unit and arriving in department.
- Attach and remove monitor devices appropriately
- Appropriate transport of IV and notification to nursing staff of any malfunctions
- Identify patient appropriately using name, date of birth, etc.
- Assist with flow of patients efficiently, good communication with staff and physicians
- Change linen and cleans equipment
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
