Job Summary And Qualifications
The Cook is an integral member of the Food and Nutrition Services Team. The Cook is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to provide high-quality, nutritionally balanced meals for hospital patients, families, visitors, and employees across the facility.

Job Summary And Qualifications
The Cook is an integral member of the Food and Nutrition Services Team. The Cook is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to provide high-quality, nutritionally balanced meals for hospital patients, families, visitors, and employees across the facility.
What you will do in this role:
- You will prepare food items for patients, cafeteria, and catering functions using standardized recipes and high-quality production skills
- You will assemble plates for patients and cafeteria patrons
- You will work on patient tray assembly line and you will follow menu directives for determining food items for each tray
- You will have a basic knowledge of therapeutic diets
- You will clean and sanitize kitchen work area, all equipment and tables and you will collect and dispose of garbage
- You will maintain HACCP record logs, temperature logs and assist with food stocking
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- 6 months of food service experience is required
- 1 year of cooking experience preferred, ideally in a hospital, healthcare, or institution setting
