Job Summary And Qualifications
A licensed Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for the delivery of patient care by following the treatment plan and communicating patient status changes as necessary. You are responsible for providing physical therapy to patients throughout their lifespan as well as age-specific direct care services to this population. In this role, you will participate in clinical programs and interdepartmental activities within the organization.
Lawnwood Hospital is a designated Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Physical Rehabilitation Center is CARF accredited. We are a Level II Trauma Center. We are verified by the American College of Surgeons. We offer a freestanding ER in Vero Beach. We provide emergency treatment for adults and children. We also offer the area’s only Level III Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units. At HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital patients come first – no matter what! - You will communicate and assist in resolving problems.
- You will demonstrate effective resource utilization, which is critical to operational stability within the organization.
- You will participate in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA)
- Associate Degree
- CEU License requirements
