Nuclear Medicine Technologist RSO
Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist RSO on a full-time basis. As a Nuc Med Tech RSO at HCA Florida, you will ensure that all activities involving radioactive materials and equipment capable of producing radiation are performed safely and in accordance with approved policies. Job Summary And Qualifications
Nuclear Medicine Technologist RSO
Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist RSO on a full-time basis. As a Nuc Med Tech RSO at HCA Florida, you will ensure that all activities involving radioactive materials and equipment capable of producing radiation are performed safely and in accordance with approved policies. We prioritize patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next opportunity.
Your tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Interact with administration, medical staff and department directors to provide quality patient care
- Implementation of the Radiation Safety Program
- Maintain compliance with the facility’s Radioactive Materials License and applicable Department of Health Control of Radiation Hazard
- Monitoring adherence to regulations, including but not limited to the definition of 64E-5.605
- Authorized by senior management to stop a procedure if, in the RSO’s judgment, that operation is unsafe or in violation of policies
- Assure compliance with the facilities policies and State and Federal regulations
- Have authority over any department/department director that utilizes ionizing emitting equipment for the purposes of safe practices
- Associate Degree
- Active State of Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 3-5 years of experience as a Radiologist with at least 1 year as a Radiology Technologist
- ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB credential(s)
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instruction, PC skills
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
