Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the organ transplant program, ensuring seamless coordination among clinical teams, surgeons, donors, and recipients
- Manage transplant waiting lists, evaluations, scheduling, and follow‑up care workflows
- Ensure regulatory compliance with UNOS, CMS, and other governing bodies
- Helps develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality‑improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the hospital environment to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide leadership, training, and support to transplant coordinators and support staff
- Monitor program metrics, prepare reports, and support accreditation activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in an organ transplant program
- Clinical experience in transplant services, critical care, or related specialty
- Strong knowledge of organ donation and transplant regulations (UNOS, OPTN, CMS)
- Proven leadership and program‑management skills
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities
