As an Emergency Department (ED) Paramedic, you’ll be a crucial member of the emergency team, delivering skilled, timely care when every second counts. You’ll use your expertise and quick decision-making to gather critical details, perform treatments safely, and maintain a safe, dignified environment for every patient. HCA Florida Highlands Hospital is a 126-bed acute hospital. We offer a full range of Emergency, Surgical and Inpatient and Outpatient services. We have served Sebring, Florida, and the surrounding counties since 1965. We offer advanced technology, attracting the most qualified physicians and surgeons in the area. Our Emergency Room is the area’s only dedicated Senior ER. This features designated parking and hearing amplifiers. This also offers optical devices, specific discharge planning and personal scheduling assistance. All patient directives are clear, easing tension. Our Orthopedic Institute provides an upscale environment for joint replacements. Patients are at ease in our facility. The hospital specializes in minimally invasive procedures. These result in shorter hospital stays and a faster recovery.

- Stay in continuous communication with providers, nurses, and EMS to ensure seamless patient handoffs and smooth, coordinated care
- Monitor vital signs, document clearly, and deliver treatments with precision and accuracy
- Perform tests, administer medications, and administer therapies and interventions confidently within your scope
- Respond rapidly in emergencies, identify patient needs early and help manage pain
- Keep patient areas safe and organized by managing equipment and addressing any potential hazards
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- (EMT) Emergency Medical Technician
- Vocational School Graduate
