Job Summary And Qualifications
The Director of Infection Prevention is responsible for the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the infection prevention and control programs for healthcare system/facility. Implementation is accomplished through performing surveillance, consultation and education regarding prevention and control activities under the direction of the infection prevention director or manager and the physician epidemiologist. The Infection Prevention coordinator serves as an internal consultant in regards to data collection, analysis, reporting and team facilitation in relation to improving patient outcomes related to health care associated infections and infectious diseases. The Infection Prevention Coordinator is responsible for coordination, facilitation and leadership of infection prevention and control activities related to patient and health care worker safety and quality/performance improvement initiatives.

What qualifications you will need:
- Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required (BSN preferred)
- Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire - required (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license is acceptable for position if current and compliant)
- (CIC) Certified in Infection Control must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date - required
- 1 year experience in a hospital or healthcare setting in an Infection Control role - preferred
- 3 years clinical experience in a hospital setting - required
