Your tasks and responsibilities include:
- Use specialized equipment to create images (sonograms) of structures inside the human body
- Analyze technical information
- Use independent judgment in recognizing the need to extend the scope of the procedure according to the diagnostic findings
- Provide a written summary of the technical findings to the physician for medical diagnosis
- Obtain and record an accurate patient history
- Provide high-quality patient care
- Display excellent communication skills
- Collaborate with physicians and other caregivers in a spirit of teamwork
- Maintain appropriate education and development
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Valid RDMS
- RVT within 6 months of board eligibility
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Computer skills
