Job Summary and Qualifications
Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Mammography Technician to perform routine preventative and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI and breast needle localization procedures. As a Mammographer under the direction of a Radiologist:
- You will perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretation.
- You will prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated.
- You will document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
- You will maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist.
- You will check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology
- Registered Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT); Licensed Radiologic Technologist, State of Florida, Dept. of Health & Rehabilitative services.
- ACR Mammography Accreditation
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health CRT licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammography
- Minimum of 1 year of current/recent diagnostic imaging experience (hospital or outpatient setting) preferred
- Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
