Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a Cardiovascular Technician to join our team at HCA Florida Blake Hospital.
As our Cardiovascular Technician, you will assist in cardiac catheterization, vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, and emergency procedures associated with catheterization procedure - IAB and temporary pacer insertion.
You will prioritize resources to patient care and diagnostic activities based on accurate patient information and staff capabilities.
- Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac A & P, with the specific conditions and diseases (CAD), and treatment therapies for the specific patient populations of the Department.
- Assist in data collection and r/t cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, renal and peripheral vascular procedures.
- Document findings and reports abnormal or out-of-range results to physician.
Requirements:
- High school or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited CVT or RCVT program preferred or an LPN, Registered Respiratory Therapist or Paramedic with 1 year hospital based experience.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
