We are seeking a Lead CRT/RRT Respiratory Therapist for our hospital to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. As a Lead Therapist on our team, you will evaluate the respiratory needs of and develop/implement the Respiratory Care Plan for your patients. HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 380 bed hospital located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen-acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. We have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement and inpatient rehabilitation. Lead Respiratory Therapist

Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation
- Must be self-directed
- Maintain all department and hospital records and enter accurate information into the hospital computer for the therapy as given
- Set up and administer all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages
- Completion of an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree); Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a licensed Respiratory Therapist; critical care and intubation experience preferred
- Clear/active Florida license as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire
