Job Summary And Qualifications
The EVS Lead Tech works under the direction of EVS Coordinator and works cohesively with EVS staff to provide quality cleaning standards, exhibiting consideration of patients, their family and friends, with regard to their personal dignity and respect for their values. The EVS Lead Tech also performs other functions, including adherence to Infection Control policies and procedures, to maintain a clean, safe patient environment.
Continuously improves service outcomes that impact the customers’ environment by commitment to improvement that is consistent with the hospital mission , vision and scope of service statements, with a commitment to excellence.
Provides an effective leadership, to develop staff and encourage participation in improving the cleaning process.
Ensures satisfactory regulatory compliance. Reduces hazards, risks, prevents accidents/injuries, and maintains safe conditions by adhering to established safety standards. :
Provides orientation checklists, in-service training schedules, new policy and procedure instructions, daily work assignment sheets, and competency assessment tools.
Responsible for department scheduling ensuring 100% accuracy of the daily work assignment sheet.
Provides work assistance to team member(s). Supports adherence to department policy/procedures, during and after
Encourages staff members to meet/exceed standards criteria to ensure patient rooms are properly cleaned and germicidally treated, including maintenance/care of tile and/or carpeted surfaces.
Reduces risk of acquiring or transmitting infection by adhering to the established infection control policy/procedures and communicating immediately all infection control incidents to Environmental Services Director and/or Infection Control Practitioner.
Demonstrates proper handling of soiled linen, solid waste and biomedical waste.
HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 380 bed hospital located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. We have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement and inpatient rehabilitation.
