HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is currently seeking a BE/BC Anesthesiologist to become the Facility Medical Director at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL. This team has been thriving over the past two years under outstanding clinical leadership and the opportunity is open due to the promotion of our current Chief to a Division Medical Director for the employed Anesthesia practices in West Florida.
The Facility Medical Director will work collaboratively with the Operations team, Hospital Administration and APP leadership to carry out the Group’s mission of maintaining a mutually respectful work environment, leading by example and a sharing a genuine love of providing excellent patient care.
Ideal candidate will be highly skilled in communication, relationship building, and be able to represent the Anesthesia department as a true partner within the organization. Responsibilities include assuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery and outcomes, employee satisfaction and retention as well as monitoring efficiencies and quality metrics. Previous leadership experience required.

Qualifications/Highlights of Opportunity:
- Anesthesia Care Team model of 10 Anesthesiologists (3 CV and 7 General) and 22 CRNAs covering 12 ORs plus EP Lab, Cath Lab and Endo.
- Supervision of CRNAs 1:4. CRNAs provide in-house coverage 24/7.
- Diverse mix of highly complex cases including Trauma, Cardiac, heavy Ortho, Endo, Neuro, Spine, Vascular, Bariatric, Robotics, etc. No Peds. No OB.
- Average surgical volume of 9000 cases annually.
- Block proficiency required. Willingness to teach appreciated.
- Physicians are scheduled M-F, 7a-5p. Call Doc comes in at 3p. Post Call Day off.
- Trauma call is in-house 1X week, 3p-7a plus rotating 1, 24 hour weekend call shift a month starting at 7a, Sat or Sun. Post call day off.
