Job Summary And Qualifications
TheInfectionPreventionistpromotes and delivers high quality, patient-centered care byassistingwith the administration of Infection Prevention policies,proceduresand programs.As a memberof the Infection Preventionprogram andteam, theInfectionPreventionistidentifies, investigates, reports, andmonitorsthe incidence of nosocomial infectionsamong patients and personnel,and implementspolicies and procedures to prevent cross-contamination.TheInfectionPreventionistis alsoresponsible forassistingwithinserviceprogramsrelated to infection prevention andinfection control,andwiththe clinical aspects of the Employee Health Program, including pre-employment processing, occupational healthtestingand surveillance. HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is 467-bed hospital. We are a fully accredited medical surgery hospital. We leverage the latest technologies and treatment protocols to meet healthcare needs. HCA Florida Aventura Hospital is designated a Level II Trauma Center. This is awarded by the Florida Department of Health. We are certified as a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center by the Joint Commission. Always offering the best for our patients. Aventura’s Comprehensive Community Cancer Program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Knowledgeably treating patience with urgency. We are an American College of Radiology accredited Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. We take screenings seriously.

What qualifications you will need:
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma, required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursingor health-related field, required
- 1 years experiencein a clinical setting, preferred
- 1 years experiencein Infection Control, preferred
- 1 years experiencein a leadership role, preferred
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation
- CBIC certification within two years of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
