Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care | Full-Time
A well-established healthcare center is currently seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support clinical leadership and help maintain high standards of resident care. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse ready to take the next step into a leadership position within a long-term care environment.
Role Overview
The ADON works closely with the Director of Nursing to help oversee daily clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support nursing staff in delivering quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day nursing department operations
- Help ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations
- Participate in survey readiness and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide supervision, direction, and support to nursing staff
- Review clinical records to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards
- Support staffing needs, including scheduling and coverage coordination
- Investigate incidents and assist with appropriate follow-up actions
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work culture
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Prior experience in a nursing home, rehab, or long-term care setting
- Supervisory or charge nurse experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and clinical documentation standards
- Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: up to $130,000 per year
(commensurate with experience)
