Position Summary

The Product Quality Manager is responsible for managing all product quality–related projects between HCFA and the HC Forklift factory. This role reports directly to HCFA Management and serves as a key liaison between Customer Care, Warranty, Engineering, and the factory in China.

The Product Quality Manager is expected to identify and investigate product quality issues, analyze data, perform root cause analysis, and communicate findings and recommended solutions to the factory. The position requires frequent communication with internal teams and regular coordination with factory engineers in China, including evening calls due to time zone differences.

Occasional domestic travel (less than 20%) may be required to visit suppliers and customers. The role also requires periodic travel to the HC factory in China.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own product quality issues end-to-end, from initial identification through root cause analysis, corrective action, and verification of resolution.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between HCFA and the HC Forklift factory for all product quality matters.
  • Analyze warranty, field, and customer data to identify trends, top issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead and document root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Communicate findings, corrective actions, and improvement recommendations clearly to factory engineering teams.
  • Track and manage HCFA product improvement requests, ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
  • Provide regular, concise project status updates and reporting to HCFA Management.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Customer Care, Warranty, Engineering, Sales, and other internal teams.
  • Manage multiple quality projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and priorities.
  • Address and resolve OEM-related product quality concerns as required.
  • Support supplier and customer visits related to product quality issues.
  • Participate in after-hours meetings with overseas partners as needed due to time zone differences.
  • Maintain professional representation of HCFA in all internal and external interactions.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with:
    • Product quality issue investigation and resolution
    • Warranty and field failure analysis
    • Root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Strong technical aptitude with mechanical or industrial equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 7 years of quality management experience.
  • Experience working directly with overseas manufacturing facilities, preferably in Asia.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
  • Experience with OEM product quality management.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
  • Experience with ERP, PLM, or warranty management systems.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $90,000 – $125,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
