What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Counter position at HBL Automotive Inc?
Overview:
Lindsay Automotive is one of the oldest Honda dealers in Central Ohio, dating back to 1973.
Lindsay Buick/GMC has been opened since November 2020. We are a service oriented organization that prides itself on establishing life-long relationships with our customers.
We consider our employees to be one of its most valuable resources. At the Parts Counter Consultant, you are the gatekeeper of our brand’s mechanical integrity. You manage an
extensive inventory of precision-engineered components, ensuring that every internal repair and retail request is met with extreme accuracy. You don’t just find part numbers;
you provide the technical expertise that supports the needs of our clients' vehicles.
Responsibilities Include:
• Utilize Parts Catalogs to identify specific components for unique vehicle builds, ensuring
100% compatibility with the factory spec.
• Guide retail and wholesale clients through the selection of performance upgrades,
lifestyle accessories, and aesthetic enhancements.
• Manage the lifecycle of our stock—from precision ordering and receiving to bin
organization—to minimize downtime for our Service Department.
• Cultivate and maintain high-value relationships with independent repair facilities, acting
as their primary link to authentic brand engineering.
• Oversee the handling of rare or high-value components, ensuring they are stored and
delivered in pristine condition.
Qualifications:
• A detail oriented mindset where a single digit in a part number makes all the difference.
• A deep interest in automotive anatomy. You should understand how a turbocharger
works just as well as you understand how a floor mat fits.
• The ability to translate complex technical jargon into "client-friendly" language for luxury
owners.
• Experience with DMS platforms (like CDK, Dealertrack) and manufacturer-specific parts
