Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body Shop Technician to join our collision repair team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing damaged vehicle bodies and body parts in accordance with factory and dealership specifications. You will play a critical role in ensuring our customers' vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Collision Repair: Straighten bent frames, remove dents, and replace crumpled parts.
Component Replacement: Remove and install body panels, trim, and glass.
Metal Work: Use specialized tools to hammer out or fill small dents and creases.
Welding: Perform high-quality welding as needed for structural and panel repairs.
Pre-Paint Prep: Sand, buff, and prime repaired surfaces to prepare them for the painting department.
Quality Control: Inspect completed repairs to ensure they meet safety standards and aesthetic requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in automotive collision repair.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and frame-alignment systems.
Certifications: I-CAR or ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
Attention to Detail: A commitment to restoring vehicles to factory-level quality.
