We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer or embedded systems engineer to join our team and work on the design and development of wireless data acquisition products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming in C/C , as well as experience in the development and understanding of miniature power-constrained electronic systems.

Primary Responsibilities
MicroStrain is a leading developer of inertial sensors and wireless instrumentation systems based just outside Burlington Vermont. For over 35 years MicroStrain sensors have been used in many applications, including mobile robotics and precision agriculture.
As of September 19, 2023, MicroStrain was integrated into Hottinger Bruel & Kjaer (HBK), a long-established brand in sensing systems.
On 1st of January 2019, Brüel & Kjær and HBM merged their activities into a new company called HBK (Hottinger, Brüel & Kjær). With more than 3,000 employees worldwide and production facilities in Denmark, Germany, the UK, the USA, China and Portugal and presence in 80 countries, HBK becomes a leading global powerhouse.
Both companies currently operate within the Test and Measurement segment of Spectris, the productivity-enhancing instrumentation and controls company.

Primary Responsibilities
- Design and develop wireless data acquisition products
- Develop and implement firmware in C/C for microcontrollers and embedded systems
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion
- Conduct testing and analysis to verify product performance
- Participate in design reviews and provide input for design improvements
- Maintain accurate documentation of design processes and results
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in programming in C/C for microcontrollers and embedded systems
- Strong understanding of miniature power-constrained electronic systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
