Role Description The Safety Professional is a full-time, on-site role based in Boise, ID, focused on supporting safe semiconductor construction and production activities. Responsibilities include conducting safety assessments, participating in tool installation and commissioning safety reviews, and monitoring compliance with EHS procedures on the production floor and construction sites. The role involves delivering safety training to project and production teams, facilitating chemical handling and decontamination procedures, and contributing to the development of safety checklists and documentation. The Safety Professional will investigate incidents and near misses, support safety management systems, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and project stakeholders to embed best practices into daily work. This position requires proactive engagement in the field, mentoring teams on safe behaviors, and providing clear guidance on risk mitigation.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to apply principles in semiconductor construction and live fab environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including process safety, chemical safety, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in Safety Training, with experience designing and delivering EHS training programs for diverse project and production teams.
  • Hands-on experience in Accident Investigation, incident reporting, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Knowledge of semiconductor industry operations, tools installation, and production environments is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, develop procedures and checklists, and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and a practical, field-oriented approach to problem solving.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Boise, ID, engage in regular facility walkthroughs, and support shift or project-based schedules as needed.
