Accounting Assistant

Position: Accounting Assistant

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Pay: $40/hour

Experience: 3 to 5 years of accounting experience in a similar role.

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Type: Full-time; Temporary

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

HB Staffing is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Process journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Assist with financial reporting and preparation of P&L and job cost reports.
• Support project cost accounting and/or inventory reconciliation.
• Review and analyze large data sets for accuracy.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end accounting tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve discrepancies.
  
  

Position Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in QuickBooks required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to adapt to changing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
