Job Description:
- Audit financial transactions to ensure compliance with contract and grant requirements.
- Prepare financial reports detailing revenue and expenditure per grant guidelines.
- Process procurement transactions, including supply requisitions and purchase orders, using FMS 2.0.
- Reconcile accounts by analyzing financial discrepancies and correcting errors.
- Assist in budget reviews, modifications, and Council transmittals related to grants.
- Prepare audit schedules and GAAP conversion worksheets.
- Monitor spending to ensure adherence to budget limitations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Conduct field monitoring visits to collect data and ensure compliance.
- Perform additional accounting-related duties as needed.
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and other governmental regulations and cost principles.
- Working knowledge of data processing principles as they apply to accounting and general auditing principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
- Must possess excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have experience and a strong track record working with multiple agencies and organizations simultaneously, working as part of a team, while also demonstrating initiative and the ability to work independently.
