Medical Assistant – Internal Medicine

About Us
HB Medical & Wellness Care is a fast-paced internal medicine practice dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to our patients. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Take and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.)
- Perform EKGs accurately
- Administer injections (IM, subcutaneous, etc.) as directed
- Perform ear lavage/irrigation procedures
- Assist providers with patient exams and procedures
- Handle insurance prior authorizations for medications and treatments
- Manage and respond to patient messages in a timely manner
- Document patient information using EMR systems
- Maintain clean and organized exam rooms
- Support front and back office workflow as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant (Internal Medicine preferred)
- Proficient in:
- Taking vitals
- EKGs
- Injections
- Ear lavage
- Experience with insurance prior authorizations
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment
- Strong knowledge of EMR systems
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA) – preferred but not required
- Experience in internal medicine or primary care
