MEV / Orderflow Strategist

HAZZA Network
Rexburg, ID Full Time
POSTED ON 5/1/2026

About Hazza Network

Hazza Network is a global unified payment network designed to enable seamless cryptocurrency payments across the world's existing payment infrastructure — merchants, payment service providers, acquirers, issuers, and alternative payment methods. Built on top of proven enterprise payment technology, Hazza is the connective layer between the traditional payments world and crypto. As volume on the network grows, every transaction passing through it becomes orderflow — and that orderflow needs to be defended, routed, and strategically managed. This role owns that surface end-to-end.

About the Role

You will design and operate the orderflow and MEV strategy for Hazza Network. The job has two sides.

The defensive side: making sure user transactions on the network are not extracted from. That means execution policy, private mempool integrations, builder selection, sandwich protection, and a clear-eyed view of where value is leaking on every chain we operate on.

The strategic side: thinking carefully about how the network's aggregate orderflow should be routed, who it should be exposed to, and how MEV captured from network activity should be redistributed back to users and the network itself. This is a design problem, an economics problem, and an ops problem all at once.

You will not be running searcher infrastructure or chasing extraction. You will be the person who makes sure Hazza's orderflow is treated the way an institutional payment network's orderflow should be — with intention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end orderflow and MEV strategy for transactions routed through Hazza Network across Ethereum, Solana, and major L2s (Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, and others as the network expands)
  • Design execution policies that minimize value leakage from sandwich attacks, frontrunning, and adverse builder behavior on user-initiated payment flows
  • Integrate and operate against private mempool infrastructure (Flashbots Protect, MEV-Share, MEV-Blocker, Solana's private RPC ecosystem, builder direct relationships)
  • Build and maintain relationships with block builders, relayers, and orderflow auction operators — Hazza needs to be a counterparty they take seriously
  • Quantify MEV exposure on the network: build the dashboards, the simulations, and the post-trade analytics that tell us what's happening to our flow
  • Design the orderflow auction or value-redistribution mechanism through which the network returns captured value to users
  • Translate research into production: work closely with engineering on the execution layer, with operations on incident response when extraction is detected, and with product on user-facing protections
  • Stay in front of the field — PBS, encrypted mempools, TEE-based block building, threshold encryption, application-specific sequencing — and translate developments into network strategy
What We're Looking For

Must have

  • 5 years working on MEV, orderflow, on-chain execution, or DeFi infrastructure in a serious technical capacity
  • Deep, demonstrable understanding of the Ethereum MEV supply chain end-to-end: searchers, builders, relays, validators, PBS, MEV-Boost, MEV-Share
  • Hands-on experience operating against at least one private orderflow system in production (Flashbots Protect, MEV-Share, MEV-Blocker, Cow Protocol, UniswapX, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of Solana's MEV landscape (Jito, priority fees, validator dynamics) — Ethereum-only candidates will need to demonstrate they can ramp fast
  • Strong programming proficiency in at least one of Rust, Go, Python; comfort reading Solidity and EVM execution traces
  • Ability to read and contribute to research-grade material — ethresear.ch posts, EIPs, mechanism design papers
  • US citizen or permanent resident with full work authorization — no sponsorship offered, now or in the future
  • Fluent professional English

Personal qualities that matter to us

  • Integrity in a field where it's optional. MEV is an industry where information asymmetry is monetizable. We need someone who is comfortable on the protective side of that line and stays there.
  • Long-term operator mindset. Orderflow strategy compounds. The person who designed the right execution policy in year one is still benefiting the network in year five.
  • Independent technical conviction. You should be able to look at a builder, a relay, or a private orderflow system and form your own informed view of whether we should integrate — without needing consensus.
  • Ability to write clearly. A lot of this work is convincing engineering, product, and leadership to make non-obvious technical choices. If you can't write a clean memo, the strategy doesn't ship.

Nice to have

  • Prior work at Flashbots, a major builder (Beaverbuild, Titan, rsync), Cow Protocol, UniswapX, 1inch Fusion, Jito, or a top crypto-native trading/market making firm with serious MEV exposure
  • Direct experience designing or operating an orderflow auction
  • Published research, EIPs, or open-source contributions in the MEV / orderflow / PBS space
  • Familiarity with TEE-based block building (Intel TDX/SGX), threshold encryption, or other privacy-preserving execution primitives
  • Background in mechanism design, market microstructure, or quantitative trading
  • Experience with cross-chain or intent-based execution architectures
What We Offer
  • $300,000 base salary, approximately 20% above industry benchmarks for this level. No variable compensation, no token allocation, no performance bonus — we believe in paying well and predictably, even in a field where most people are paid in volatility.
  • Fully remote role, based anywhere in the United States — we hire on talent, not zip code.
  • A clean technical mandate: design and run the orderflow strategy for a payment network at the moment it scales
  • Direct access to network-level data and decision-making — your work ships to production, not to a research blog
  • A long-term, stable role with a company that values loyalty and invests in the people who build it.
