This role will support a major commercial construction project in Danville, Pennsylvania. The Safety Manager will work closely with project leadership and trade partners to help maintain a safe and compliant work environment throughout all phases of construction.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily onsite safety oversight for active construction operations
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to ensure OSHA compliance and safe work practices
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and orientation support
- Assist with incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety documentation
- Partner closely with project teams, subcontractors, and field leadership to reinforce a proactive safety culture
- Support high-risk construction activities including material handling, heavy equipment operations, excavation, overhead work, and confined space activities
Qualifications
- 5 years of commercial construction safety experience preferred
- Previous healthcare, hospital, or large-scale commercial construction experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices
- OSHA 500 required
- CPR/First Aid certification required
- CHST certification strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills and field presence
