Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for surgery by reviewing medical histories, explaining procedures, and ensuring consent is obtained.
- Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during operative procedures, maintaining sterile technique and ensuring patient safety.
- Monitor patient vital signs, manage airway equipment, and respond promptly to any intraoperative changes or emergencies.
Requirements
- Valid RN license with current state certification; prior OR experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique, sterile processing procedures, and infection control standards.
- Experience working in hospital settings with exposure to surgical environments such as OR experience or outpatient surgery centers.
- Ability to perform physical assessments, vital sign monitoring, IV insertion, venipuncture.
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medication administration protocols including pain management and sedation.
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
