What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver Education Instructor, part-time 0.30 FTE position at Hazen Union School?
The Hazen Union School District and the Craftsbury Town School Districts are teaming up to hire a student and safety-focused individual as a part-time instructor for Driver's Education. The instructor will provide students with at least the minimum performance capabilities for entry into the traffic system as motor vehicle drivers. Equip students with the knowledge and thought processes that will enable them to make rational decisions in traffic. Produce drivers who are responsible, as well as competent. This is a part-time position from late August through June that falls under the Master Agreement for OSSU teachers.
The geographic location of the Orleans Southwest Supervisory Union (OSSU) is often referred to as the ‘Gateway to the Northeast Kingdom.’ OSSU serves about 1,100 students PK-12 across six towns in four counties, totaling approximately 6,900 residents.
Hazen Union School is a public school with 300 students in grades 7-12. Hazen Union has a diverse membership, with approximately 70% of students receiving free or reduced lunch.
