Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a qualified Project Manager with 10 years of experience in planning, designing, permitting and construction of drinking water and wastewater-related projects. The position will lead to an increasing level of client development and management commensurate with experience, supported by our regional offices and firm-wide technical resources.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project management
- Supervising junior staff
- Lead business development activities including preparation of proposals and presentations
- High level of client development and management in our Pensacola, FL office
- Preparation of assessment and design reports
- Performing design calculations
- Equipment sizing/selection
- Preparation of construction documents, and support needs for construction management/commissioning
- The primary focus will be projects in Florida and Southern Alabama
- Fieldwork and site visits from planning through construction may be required with occasional travel
Required Qualifications:
- 10 – 15 years of experience in the water/wastewater field
- Experience managing interdisciplinary teams to effectively meet the client’s needs
- Experience in successfully delivering projects with collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience in planning, design, and construction for municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Project management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Self-starter with attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in all MS Office based computer software
- PE license is required (FL preferred or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months of employment)
- B.S. degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Master’s) of Science or Engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. program (other engineering degrees considered case by case)
