Principal I&C Designer

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Principal I&C Designer for our San Diego, Los Angeles, Irvine and Concord California office(s). Key Responsibilities:Candidate will develop I&C system designs for the water and wastewater industry with the potential for Human Machine Interface and Programmable Logic Controller programming/ configuration workCandidate will develop Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), control system architecture drawings, and installation details in AutoCAD Plant 3D Candidate will prepare instrumentation and control system specifications as neededCandidate will work under the direct supervision of an engineer and be required to collaborate with engineers and designers from other disciplinesCandidate will be required to conduct client site visits as neededCandidate will be required to perform AutoCAD Plant 3D drawing checksRequired Qualifications:Relevant Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree/technical certification5 years of industry experience drafting or creating I&C system design drawings Proficient in AutoCAD design tools for drafting of I&C drawings including: P&IDs, control system architecture drawings, panel layouts and elevations, and wiring diagramsExperience in leading and coordinating I&C drawing productionStrong verbal, writing and interpersonal skills are required for coordination with other disciplines and client interfaceWhat We Offer:Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, and prescription plans)Pre-tax flexible spending plans for medical, dependent care, and transportationShort and long-term disability, and employer paid life insurancePaid holidays, floating holidays, and paid time off (PTO)Employer-contributed 401(k) plan and additional financial planning supportProfessional growth opportunities, including tuition reimbursement, in-house training, and incentives for professional registration and professional organization membershipsStarting pay range for this position depends on skills, experience, education and geographical location#li-hybrid

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
