Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Tow Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves responding to service calls, assisting stranded motorists, and transporting vehicles safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a tow truck to transport disabled, damaged, or illegally parked vehicles
- Respond promptly to dispatch calls and provide excellent customer service
- Secure vehicles properly to ensure safe transport
- Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate service records
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and routine maintenance on tow equipment
- Work closely with local law enforcement when handling accident and impound situations
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position requiring a 40-hour work week
- Must be available to rotate on-call shifts, including nights and weekends
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license (CDL may be required depending on equipment)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must not have any felony convictions due to coordination with city police on accident scenes
- Clean driving record preferred
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous towing or roadside assistance experience
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus
