Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Medical Director and Director of Medical Imaging, performs tasks to assist the Radiologist and technologist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. Completes tasks in accordance with departmental protocols and ensures positive relationship with all customers. Shall comply with all applicable laws and rules including SBHD organizational standards, policies, and procedures. He/she maintains a strong commitment to outstanding patient care, thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment; and is a team player who honors others with mutual respect, courtesy, and personal accountability.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs routine office and receptionist tasks to support the Diagnostic Imaging Department functions. These include answering and transferring incoming calls; greeting patients and retrieving written orders; order entry; scheduling exams; instructing patients in preparation for procedures; retrieving film records; and filing reports and film records.
Performs all job duties in a manner consistent with Hospital, TJC, and HIPAA requirements.
Qualifications:
Minimum preferred High School diploma AA. Medical office or other healthcare environment preferred. Preferred one year secretarial / general office experience. Previous experience in Medical Imaging. Licenses & Certifications AA preferred.

Pay: $23.00 to $31.00/hourly

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Schedules inpatient and outpatient examinations.
- Performs reception duties.
- Managing images and reports.
- Maintains a clean and orderly environment.
- Supplies are maintained at established levels.
- Maintain accurate records of completed reports, scans, and other documents related to radiology.
- Adheres to service of excellence principles.
- Familiarity with imaging and radiology procedures.
- Establishes and maintains a positive relationship with all customers.
- Work effectively with all members of the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive quality care to all patients.
- Handles telephone information requests with courtesy, accuracy, and respect for confidentiality.
- Always makes the best use of time during assigned shifts. Coordinates activities to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency. Performs tasks within the framework of honesty and integrity. Avoids disrupting the work schedule for personal matters.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Medical Imaging preferred
- High school diploma, AA preferred
- Detail-oriented, organized, and good computer skills
- Able to work effectively and be able to deliver on tight schedules
- One year secretarial/general office experience preferred
- Medical office or other healthcare environment
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Provides quality customer service to patients including, but not limited to:
- Greets patients courteously and professionally.
- Answers phones.
- Facilitates patient appointments with patients and clinics.
- Performs appointment reminder phone calls.
- Informs patients of the proper pre-exam prep instructions.
- Performs daily front office needs including, but not limited to:
- Restock office supplies.
- Fulfills release of medical records requests.
- Processes patient orders when orders are received.
- Prepares daily scheduled orders for techs to review.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer software programs.
