Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including vital signs, medication and allergy review, chief complaints, and EHR documentation.
- Prepare patients and exam rooms and assist providers with examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures.
- Schedule appointments, register patients, verify insurance coverage, collect payments, and coordinate referrals and follow-up care.
- Perform approved clinical duties, including specimen handling, CLIA-waived testing, suture/staple removal, and EKGs within scope and competency.
- Maintain accurate patient records, process documentation, and track laboratory, imaging, pathology, and consultation results.
- Maintain clean, stocked, and prepared clinical areas and monitor medical and office supplies.
- Provide professional, compassionate customer service and communicate effectively with patients, providers, and the healthcare team.
- Support specialty clinic functions, including OB/GYN services, as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant Program required.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- One (1) year of medical office experience as a Medical Assistant highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare insurance/billing, and basic computer/EHR systems.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- EKG competency required following hire.
