Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Class A CDL Driver role located in Wichita, KS. The driver will operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport materials safely and efficiently while supporting hazardous materials response operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, safely loading and unloading materials, and maintaining accurate logs and documentation. The role may involve responding to scheduled and unscheduled assignments, driving to various customer sites, and working closely with field and response teams. The driver is expected to follow all safety protocols, maintain vehicles and equipment in good working condition, and communicate clearly with supervisors and dispatch.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and proven Truck Driving experience.
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver a Truck, including backing, turning, and driving in varied conditions.
- Experience with safe loading and Unloading practices, including securing cargo and using proper equipment.
- Working knowledge of DOT Regulations, hours-of-service rules, and required logs and documentation.
- Strong commitment to safety, including following company policies and hazardous materials handling procedures (HAZMAT endorsement preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections, routine maintenance checks, and report issues promptly.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in hazmat response, industrial services, or emergency response is a plus.
