Education/Experience Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, business, graphic design, public relations, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
● One to three years of professional experience in marketing, communications, fundraising, event planning, nonprofit operations, or a related field.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences.
● Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, including Excel or Google Sheets for data tracking, reporting, and basic analysis.
● Experience using social media platforms for organizational or business communications.
● Basic graphic design experience using platforms such as Canva to create print and digital materials.
● Ability and enthusiasm to learn new software platforms, including donor databases, email
marketing tools, and event management systems.
● Demonstrated professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service to donors, volunteers, and community partners.
Responsibilities:
I. Marketing & Communications
A. Develop and implement marketing strategies that increase awareness of the organization's mission, programs, and events.
B. Create compelling content for print, email, and social media channels.
C. Design brochures, flyers, newsletters, annual reports, and other promotional materials.
D. Maintain brand consistency across all communications.
II. Fundraising & Donor Relations
A. Assist in planning and executing annual fundraising campaigns and special appeals.
B. Maintain accurate donor records and acknowledgments in the donor management system.
C. Cultivate positive relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners through regular communication and stewardship.
D. Prepare reports and materials to support grant applications and fundraising initiatives.
III. Event Planning
A. Coordinate fundraising events, community outreach activities, and donor appreciation events.
B. Manage event logistics including vendors, registration, promotions, and follow-up communications.
C. Evaluate event outcomes and recommend improvements for future events.
IV. Data & Reporting
A. Track fundraising, marketing, and event metrics using spreadsheets and database software.
B. Prepare reports that measure campaign effectiveness, donor engagement, and program outcomes.
C. Maintain organized records and ensure data accuracy.
V. Technology & Software
A. Learn and effectively use donor management, email marketing, event registration, and design software platforms.
B. Help identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology and process improvements.
C. Troubleshoot basic software issues and coordinate with vendors or staff as needed.
VI. Collaboration & Organizational Support
A. Work closely with Executive Director, Volunteer Coordinator, board members, and community partners to advance organizational goals.
B. Represent the organization professionally at community events and meetings.
C. Contribute ideas, solve problems creatively, and support projects that strengthen the organization's mission.
D. Perform other related duties as assigned in support of the organization's strategic priorities.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
