Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher specializing in 2nd grade Mathematics to inspire young learners and foster a love for numbers and problem-solving. Duties
- Develop and deliver dynamic math lessons aligned with curriculum standards tailored to 2nd grade students’ learning styles and developmental needs
- Incorporate educational technology tools to facilitate interactive learning and reinforce mathematical concepts
- Assess student understanding through formative and summative evaluations, analyzing performance data to inform instruction
- Manage classroom behavior proactively through effective behavior management strategies, ensuring a positive learning environment
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education needs, including working with students with autism or other exceptionalities
- Collaborate with fellow teachers on curriculum development, lesson planning, and school-wide initiatives to promote cohesive educational experiences
- Maintain clear communication with parents regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement through regular updates and parent-teacher meetings
Requirements
- Proven classroom experience teaching elementary school students, particularly in 2nd grade mathematics or related subjects
- Strong knowledge of math curriculum implementation, standardized testing preparation, and early childhood education principles
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage young learners effectively
- Experience working with children with diverse needs, including special education and early intervention programs
