Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our team in maintaining the pristine condition of outdoor spaces, including athletic fields, golf courses, landscaped areas, and other grounds. Responsibilities

• Perform irrigation system installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance to ensure optimal water distribution across various landscapes.
• Maintain athletic fields and golf course grounds through mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to promote healthy turf growth.
• Operate a variety of landscaping and groundskeeping equipment including power tools, chainsaws, lawnmowers, trimmers, and other manual tools with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as planting, pruning, mulching, and gardening to enhance visual appeal and environmental health.
• Manage pesticide application in accordance with safety regulations to control pests while protecting the environment.
• Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy equipment or materials safely during landscaping projects or equipment maintenance.
• Operate company vehicles for transportation of tools, materials, or personnel between job sites while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Maintain equipment through routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure longevity and reliable operation.
• Support general groundskeeping duties including litter removal, soil preparation, and seasonal cleanups to uphold high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems installation, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
• Experience with athletic field groundskeeping and golf course turf management practices.
• Proficiency in landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, pruning, and planting.
• Skilled in operating hand tools (e.g., shovels, rakes), power tools (e.g., trimmers, blowers), chainsaws, and other landscaping equipment safely.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining proper body mechanics.
• Familiarity with pesticide management procedures following safety guidelines and environmental regulations.
• Knowledge of horticulture principles related to lawn care, gardening, landscaping design, and plant health care.
• Experience operating company vehicles responsibly in compliance with traffic laws and safety standards.
• Understanding of power tool safety practices combined with routine equipment maintenance skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
