Laundry Attendant/Housekeeper

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within our facility. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in hotel laundry services or dry cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Operate washing machines and dryers to launder linens, towels, and garments according to established procedures.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store clean items while ensuring quality standards are met.
• Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and operating machinery.
• Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
• Provide excellent service to guests by ensuring timely delivery of clean items as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a hotel or laundry setting is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of laundering techniques for various fabrics, including dry cleaning processes, is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and quality control.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds).
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
