The Director of Strategic Accounts owns the national account strategy for a portfolio of high-value platform and enterprise accounts, leading executive relationships, enterprise conversions, and cross-functional execution to deliver profitable growth, increase market share, and strengthen long-term customer partnerships.
What You'll Do
- Lead strategy and growth for a portfolio of 50 strategic accounts.
- Build executive relationships with customers, platform companies, and private equity stakeholders.
- Drive enterprise conversions, standardized product adoption, and large-scale agreements.
- Partner across Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and Training to ensure successful execution.
- Lead executive business reviews, account planning, forecasting, and portfolio governance.
- Serve as the voice of the customer, influencing product improvements and business priorities.
- Coach and develop Strategic Account Managers while building scalable processes and playbooks.
What We're Looking For
- 10 years of experience in Strategic Accounts, National Accounts, or Enterprise Sales leadership.
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and manage complex multi-location customers.
- Strong negotiation, commercial, and financial acumen.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and enterprise agreements.
- CRM-driven, data-focused approach to portfolio management.
- Ability to travel up to 80%.
Preferred
- Experience building a strategic account program or national coverage model.
- Background in technical, channel-based, or building products industries.
- Experience leading and developing account management teams.
