Position Summary
Hayward Gardens Post Acute is seeking a dependable and flexible Dietary Aide to join our team on an on-call basis. This role is essential in supporting the dietary department to ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, responsive to scheduling needs, and committed to quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and tray setup according to dietary guidelines
- Deliver and serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner
- Support residents with feeding as needed
- Follow special diet instructions and portion control requirements
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, and dining areas
- Maintain proper food storage and handling procedures
- Restock supplies and assist with inventory as needed
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff
- Be available to work on short notice, including weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong reliability and flexibility for on-call scheduling
- Good communication and teamwork skills
