Job Description:
The Service Technician is responsible for traveling to customer sites to install, service,
troubleshoot, and repair equipment and systems. This role is hands-on and customer-
facing, with a strong focus on minimizing equipment downtime and providing
professional service in the field. The technician represents the company on-site and is
expected to work safely, independently, and efficiently while maintaining clear
communication with customers and internal teams. This role will require time in an
office/shop setting completing projects and part orders when needed.
Duties:
- Travel to customer sites to perform installation, diagnostics, repair, maintenance of equipment, and parts sales.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders to diagnose issues.
- PLC knowledge and automation a plus.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation of service calls, including job status, parts usage, and customer interactions.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with customers to explain technical issues, service timelines, and equipment operation.
- Serve as a customer advocate by listening to concerns, providing timely updates,and ensuring satisfaction with services rendered.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks and calibrations as required.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, site-specific procedures, and company policies.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and inventory in good working conditions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical problems.
- Train or support customer personnel on proper use and maintenance of equipment when needed.
- Work at Haytek facilities for projects and parts as required.
- Identify opportunities to recommend and sell replacement parts or service upgrades to customers.
- Be available for emergency or after-hours support, as assigned.
Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Service Technician to support
on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment at customer
locations based out of Ellensburg, WA. This is a full-time position, working Monday
through Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with some overtime, weekends, and travel required as
needed. This role is critical in keeping the customer operations running smoothly,
minimizing downtime, and delivering a high level of service in the field. The ideal
candidate is mechanically and technically capable, communicates well with customers,
works independently, and takes pride in always representing the company professionaly.
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
