Zero Trust Cybersecurity Engineer

This organisation excels in implementing advanced cybersecurity measures and plays a critical role in national security initiatives.

The Role

• Contribute to Zero Trust (ZT) initiatives for a key customer, focusing on on-premises and cloud-based network enclaves.
• Assess current ZT implementations, identify gaps, and develop migration plans to achieve baseline and advanced ZT objectives.
• Become a subject matter expert in one of the DoW CIO's seven pillars of ZT, guiding solution development.
• Perform security readiness assessments and develop ZT implementation roadmaps.
• Research ZT security solutions, providing detailed analysis, integration considerations, and comparisons.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to tailor ZT requirements and facilitate communication and implementation.
  
  

What You'll Need

• Minimum 4 years of experience in network solutions architecture, engineering, implementation, and operations.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based network infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud).
• Familiarity with common enterprise-grade network security & SIEM technologies (e.g., Zscaler, Palo Alto, Splunk).
• Knowledge of NIST 800, FedRAMP, Risk Management Framework, and FISMA operating standards.
• Understanding of Zero Trust Architectures (ZTA), principles, and practices.
• Active Secret Clearance is required.
