The Role
The Role
- Sustain and support a mature IBM i environment and its COBOL-based business applications
- Ensure system stability, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and optimize existing programs
- Contribute to the strategic migration from IBM i to Hyland’s OnBase WorkView platform
- Monitor system health, manage batch processes, support file transfers, and maintain SQL-based data access
- Develop and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for programs, processes, and troubleshooting steps
- 5 years of experience in development, support, and maintenance of COBOL applications on IBM i (AS/400)
- 5 years of strong experience with CL, DDS, and DB2 for i (SQL)
- 5 years of experience working with IBMi tools such as Access Client Solutions (ACS) and Navigator for i
- Experience with batch processing and job scheduling
- Exceptional communication skills
