As a Project Development Manager, you will be the high-energy bridge between visionary sales and precision engineering. You’ll leverage your technical expertise in HVAC, lighting, and building automation to qualify project feasibility and design sustainable solutions that drive massive energy savings for K-12, healthcare, and government partners.
The Role
- Lead the end-to-end development process, qualifying project feasibility through rigorous energy savings analysis and financial payback modeling.
- Conduct preliminary site walks to identify Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs) and architect customized solutions for complex facility environments.
- Act as the customer-facing technical expert during sales presentations, translating complex engineering concepts into compelling business cases.
- Collaborate with EnergyIQ (EIQ) and O&M teams to analyze utility billing data and energy consumption patterns for high-accuracy performance forecasting.
- Drive project timelines and deliverables using internal tracking platforms, ensuring seamless handoffs between Sales, Engineering, and Project Management.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent hands-on experience in Energy Engineering or Facility Management.
- Deep knowledge of building operations, HVAC systems, lighting, and overarching energy-consuming equipment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling, project cashflow analysis, and utility data analytics.
- Proven experience in technical project development or pre-construction within the ESCO or energy services sector.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to navigate utility data gathering and lead interactions with public sector stakeholders.
- Competitive Target Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 depending on experience.
