Your new role
Your duties & Responsibilities will include:
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and other partners to ensure safe and efficient job site operations.
- Conduct and attend meetings with employees and work crews to align with project objectives and schedules.
- Guide and assist employees in identifying and resolving obstacles to meet project deadlines.
- Review and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and other project documents to develop an accurate management approach.
- Provide training to foremen, laborers, and other field personnel.
- Conduct routine inspections to verify project scope, specifications, and compliance with company standards and local codes.
- Document project work situations to ensure proper records for potential claims or liens.
- Enforce OSHA requirements and perform safety inspections and weekly toolbox talks.
- Inspect subcontractor performance to ensure contract compliance and adherence to schedules.
- Oversee project closings, update punch lists, and create information for record drawings.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience: At least seven years as a Superintendent with knowledge of multiple construction trades.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management is beneficial but not necessary.
- Certifications: OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications are mandatory.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in industrial and government construction is a plus.
- Skills: Strong customer service, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Attention to Detail: Must be self-motivated and highly organized.
