SCIF Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced SCIF Superintendent to lead the field execution of highly secure construction projects throughout the Charlotte market. This role is ideal for a superintendent with experience managing Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) projects, federal installations, secure government facilities, or other mission-critical environments requiring strict compliance, documentation, and security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.
- Lead day-to-day coordination of subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure strict compliance with ICD 705 requirements, federal security protocols, and client-specific standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to achieve milestones and delivery dates.
- Conduct daily site walks and oversee quality control efforts.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover requirements.
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals to ensure proper field execution.
- Enforce all safety regulations and maintain a strong safety culture on-site.
- Prepare and lead subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Identify and resolve project issues proactively to minimize delays and cost impacts.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports and progress updates.
- Work closely with project managers and owners to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
- 7 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
- Previous SCIF construction experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with federal, government, military, defense, or secure facility projects.
- Strong understanding of ICD 705 standards and secure construction requirements.
- Ability to manage projects from ground-up construction through final commissioning.
- Proven experience coordinating multiple trades in active construction environments.
- Excellent scheduling and planning skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software and digital reporting platforms.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
- Ability to pass all required background checks and security screening requirements.
- Stable work history with demonstrated success delivering complex projects safely and on schedule.
