About the Role
A leading commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee hotel construction projects in Cocoa Beach, FL. The ideal candidate brings strong hospitality project experience, excellent field leadership, and a proven track record managing commercial construction from start to finish.
This superintendent will drive daily jobsite operations, coordinate subcontractors, maintain safety and quality standards, and ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all onsite construction activities for hotel projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and schedules
- Manage subcontractors, field personnel, and daily jobsite operations
- Maintain project timelines and develop look‑ahead schedules
- Coordinate closely with the project management team
- Oversee quality control, safety compliance, inspections, and documentation
- Conduct daily jobsite meetings and maintain communication with owners, architects, and internal teams
- Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Ensure proper installation of MEP systems and hospitality‑specific finishes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite environment
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to company quality standards
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of hotel construction experience (ground‑up, renovation, or both)
- Experience working for a commercial general contractor
- Strong understanding of hospitality‑specific systems, finishes, and sequencing
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and field operations on multi‑million‑dollar projects
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, safety protocols, and quality control
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore preferred)
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with branded hotel projects (select‑service, full‑service, or luxury)
- OSHA 30 certification
- Strong background in MEP coordination and interior finishes
- Experience managing fast‑track or phased hospitality projects
