Job Description:
Job Title: NIGO Claim Operator
Location: Primarily Remote, must be within a commutable distance to Oriskany, NY, once a month in office required
Pay rate - $20.00 per hour with Benefits
Contract Position
Claims and data entry position - will be in contact with customers via phone.
Experience Required:
- 1-2 Customer service experience and experience on the phone (or equivalent customer service experience - will accept food industry).
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
-Conducts and/or prepares correspondence and fulfils customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction.
Basic skills
- Basic computer literacy

The NIGO (Not in good order) team was formed in 2018 to assist the Auto Adjudication (AA) initiative for Short-term Disability (STD) claims.
The NIGO team’s main role is to obtain crucial claim information not obtained during the initial claim intake for AA and non-AA customers. This enables a higher volume of claims to auto-adjudicate and alleviates superfluous work by the claims team for non-AA customers.
Associates gather missing information by outbound calls or system searches on new STD Claims processed by the intake team. The “Customer Not Found” structure was created giving the NIGO team the ability to deny claims not intended for Client.
The NIGO team aids various departments in completing reports and tasks to further enhance the customer experience and automation efforts.
The NIGO team continues to grow in size, knowledge, and capabilities since its establishment.
