Heavy Civil Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret civil and architectural plans and specifications
• Review and process submittals and shop drawings
• Perform job costing, financial analysis, and forecasting (short- and long-term)
• Develop and maintain construction schedules (Microsoft Project experience preferred)
• Prepare and submit monthly billings and invoices
• Process change orders for both prime contracts and subcontractors
• Manage subcontractor billing and documentation
• Coordinate ordering and tracking of materials
• Participate in regular meetings with project stakeholders (owners, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams)
• Serve as a liaison between field teams and office staff
• Analyze bid documents, plans, and specifications to fully understand project scope
• Solicit and manage subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Monitor project costs compared to budget throughout the construction lifecycle
• Exhibit flexibility and a proactive, solution-oriented attitude ("get-it-done" mindset)
• Work in both office and field environments as required
• Travel may be required

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management
• Experience should include sitework, grading, utilities (sewer, stormwater, water main)
• Associate’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
• Experience estimating and bidding on Department of Transportation (DOT) projects preferred
• Project management experience required; estimating experience is a plus
• Familiarity with takeoff software (e.g., Agtek or similar) preferred
• Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid or similar) preferred

Additional Requirements

• Ability to pass a post-offer drug screening
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (employment eligibility verification required)

Compensation & Benefits

$100,000-$130,000
