Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret civil and architectural plans and specifications
- Review and process submittals and shop drawings
- Perform job costing, financial analysis, and forecasting (short- and long-term)
- Develop and maintain construction schedules (Microsoft Project experience preferred)
- Prepare and submit monthly billings and invoices
- Process change orders for both prime contracts and subcontractors
- Manage subcontractor billing and documentation
- Coordinate ordering and tracking of materials
- Participate in regular meetings with project stakeholders (owners, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams)
- Serve as a liaison between field teams and office staff
- Analyze bid documents, plans, and specifications to fully understand project scope
- Solicit and manage subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Monitor project costs compared to budget throughout the construction lifecycle
- Exhibit flexibility and a proactive, solution-oriented attitude ("get-it-done" mindset)
- Work in both office and field environments as required
- Travel may be required
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management
- Experience should include sitework, grading, utilities (sewer, stormwater, water main)
- Associate’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- Experience estimating and bidding on Department of Transportation (DOT) projects preferred
- Project management experience required; estimating experience is a plus
- Familiarity with takeoff software (e.g., Agtek or similar) preferred
- Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid or similar) preferred
Additional Requirements
- Ability to pass a post-offer drug screening
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (employment eligibility verification required)
Compensation & Benefits
$100,000-$130,000
