NETA Field Service Technician (Switchgear & Power Systems)
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused NETA Field Service Technician to perform electrical testing, commissioning, and maintenance on medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems. This includes switchboards, switchgear, transformers, and circuit breakers. The ideal candidate will ensure all work complies with NETA, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and ANSI/IEEE standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct NETA Acceptance (ATS) and Maintenance (MTS) testing on electrical equipment.
Perform insulation resistance, contact resistance, ratio, phase, and relay tests.
Troubleshoot switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, relays, and control wiring.
Lead or assist in equipment startup and functional testing.
Interpret test data and produce certified NETA-compliant reports.
Maintain and calibrate electrical test instruments.
Adhere to strict safety procedures and job-site protocols.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of field electrical testing experience.
Proficient with Omicron, Megger, Doble, or similar test equipment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams and schematics.
Current OSHA 10/30 and NFPA 70E training.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Test accuracy and compliance rate ≥ 98%
Report delivery within 48 hours of job completion
